Watching a man struggle under the yolk of depersonalising agendas, witnessing the devloving promise of a talented writer become indifferent to opportunity. Only to, then himself, be coerced into the same systems of the antiquated humanoid that his Father battled with, the artist began to know intimately the rules set out within this high stakes game of Chance.

Used up and discarded by the corporate machine, his work evaluates the epidemic of despondency emergent amongst industry workers today. Living in constant fear of obsolescence or rejection, from man or machine, souls trudge forth investing vast amounts of their emotional selves for a proclamation they may neither subscribe to or agree with, for the sake of the economic pressures that shackle them to it. Sharing in these pains generates the compulsivity driving this art practice. Acting as a form of social commentary that contributes to discourse within the context of cultural anthropology.

Previous themes have gathered around an alliance between politics and the metaphysical. Maintaining the hypothesis that global systems maintain a coherent voice, that denotes you trust a predetermined blueprint without question. Within this intersection there are unique parallels of hypocrisy. In a world dominated by capitalist agenda, life can appear as a moment of merchandising in a way. …human beings can be considered a ‘moment’ in this process of reification. (Bourriaud, 2017)
